OFSTED DATA DASHBOARD

Students at Penrice Academy were jumping for joy as the academy celebrated the results of five years hard work by students and staff.

Principal David Parker said: “Given the national headlines about the huge volatility in results we were concerned, but I am pleased to report that our results have held up. We are once again delighted with the success of all of our students.

“I am particularly pleased that more than 82% of students achieved A* to C in maths which is way above national averages. French and German also did extremely well– and more students take languages at Penrice than in most schools – and geography and history have shrugged off the much more difficult examinations this year and reported improvements in results.

“Physics and Biology results were also superb, again against a much harder exam this year with 98% of students passing at A* to C. As a result 65% of students were able to achieve the benchmark of five or more GCSEs at A* to C – many of those choosing to do the hardest subjects such as science, modern foreign languages and humanities. We were highly successful again in art, music, dance, drama and creative media as well with 100% pass rates in those areas.”

SEAL Objectives

I can recognise when someone is being excluded and how I may be responsible for that situation.

I can think about how I might stand up for someone who is being excluded.

What Is SEAL?
